Baramulla, 03 August (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo accompanied by various concerned officers today inspects several locations of the district in order to get the first hand appraisal of the implementation of SOPs and guidelines issued in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pertinent to that authorities in Baramulla has imposed next phase of lockdown from today in view of sharp rise in COVID-19 positive cases in the district. The lockdown has been imposed as a precautionary measure to control the spread of COVID-19 infection.

On the ocasion, DC took review of requisite advisories especially using face masks and maintaining social distancing wherein he directed the concerned agencies to ensure that all the advisories are implemented at ground level in letter and spirit. He also inspects some vehicles to check whether the passengers are adopting the related advisories and directed for taking strict legal action against the violators.(KNS)
