Srinagar, Apr 24 (KNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said Covid-19 pandemic has taught lesson to the entire country to become self-reliant.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), “The Corona virus pandemic taught us the biggest lesion to become self-independent”, PM Modi said while an interaction with Sarpanches across the country through video conferencing on the Panchayati Raj Day today. He also inaugurated e-Gram Swaraj portal and a mobile application on the occasion.

Lauded the role of Country while fighting Covid-19, Modi said “It is because of efforts of our people that entire world is talking about how India responded to Covid-19 crisis” and added, “Instead of succumbing to challenges, the countrymen utilized their scanty resources sincerely to give tough challenge to this deadly pandemic”.

He said the nation is moving forward despite of hurdles and the work for safeguarding country and countrymen is on. (KNS)
