COVID-19: Sajid Iqbal Foundation reaches out to families in Pulwama, Srinagar Anantnag, Budgam

Srinagar, 01 May (KNS): The Sajid Iqbal foundation here on Friday distributed adequate food kits among the needy families in couple of Kashmir districts.
The distribution was held to continue the work for the welfare of people, left over by Sajid Iqbal, which is in the flow now under the leadership of philanthropist Sehar Iqbal.
"We have been doing the work since past now, and during the ongoing crises -COVID19 our work for people has quickened in order to reach out to maximum people throughout Valley," executive director Sehar said, adding in today's distribution, they reached out to underprivileged families in districts of Budgam, Anantnag, Srinagar and Pulwama.
As per Sehar, they have covered around 310 families in these districts, with the food kit consists of all the essential materials that will lost them for around 40 days.The food kit consists of 40 kg of rice, 10 kg of atta ,4litres of oil, 4kg of daal,1kg of chilli powder, 1 kg of Haldi,4 kgs of salt, 2 kgs of Sugar,1 kg each of lipton and Namkeen tea, Soap/ detergents, & Sanitary pads.
Mudasir Dar, a member of the Foundation said, "In past days, we have distributed PPE kits, Three layer masks Masks, oxygen cylinders among the frontline workers in the fight against coronavirus in Kashmir."
He said that they will continue their work and will stand with the people by helping them.
He has requested the people to donate for this noble cause, so that more and more families will be covered during this pandemic.
"Lots of calls are coming from different districts. In order to help them, people need to come forward and donate for the same," Mudasir said.
