Free ration to poor, needy people in J&K, says Lockdown added tremendous miseries to people

Srinagar April 26, (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today sought adequate & uninterrupted supply of electricity to people especially during Sehri and Ifttar times.
The Party also drawn the attention of the Authorities to the difficulties confronting poor people on account of essentials and other required facilities, seeking free ration to them, on priority basis.
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed serious concern over inadequate supply of electricity especially during Sehri & Iftaar times, which was causing inconvenience to people. It has been reported from various areas that they(people) do not get the required supply of electricity since last two days, PCC said
A statement issued to KNS reads, the Party emphasized the Authorities to provide uninterrupted electricity to people, besides ensuring other required facilities during the Holy month of Ramdhan.
Referring to the difficulties confronting poor people on account of rations etc, JKPCC said that poor and needy were the worst hit due to the lockdown in the country, adding that it (lockdown) has added tremendous missies to every section of the society, there is a need to adopt holistic approach to address the concerns and problems confronting every section of people.
JKPCC urged the Authorities to identify the poor & deserving families in J&K inorder to provide them all possible help including free ration, on priority basis. PCC added (KNS)
