Srinagar, April 25 (KNS):The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today reiterated that the stranded Labourers, students stuck in different parts in the country must be brought back, keeping inview the simmering summer and Holy Month.
The Party has also sought return of students from Bangladesh and other countries, as well, saying that the delay in the process will lead to further crisis.
According to statement issued to KNS, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir has reiterated that the labourers, students and other business class, who are still stranded in different Parts of the country due to lockdown must be facilitated to return to their native places, on war footing basis, as the delay in this process has the potential to lead to further crisis.
Congress Party feels highly concerned about the plight of stranded people especially students, labourers etc in the country, abroad especially in Bangladesh. G.A. Mir emphasized the Authorities to facilitate their return, as that, will only put an end to the speculations & fear attributed to the safety of stranded Students, Labourers, he said.
The delay in the process of bringing back stranded people to their native places, is questionable, deserved to be addressed, at right earnest, G.A.Mir said adding that when different State Governments could bring back their people, why not J&K Administration adopts the same way inorder to ensure that stranded people reach their homes, he questioned.
It is humanitarian issue, the Authorities must address it on top priority, keeping inview the simmering hot season and Holy Month of Ramdhan, Mir said.
I understand those stranded within and outside the country were in great difficulty, it was the responsibility of the Authorities to frame ensure policy for their return immediately after the lockdown was announced by the Prime Minister, PCC President said.
I would also invite the attention of the Administration to the poor and needy people, who were also in great difficulty due to lockdown, laying emphasis over ensuring free essentials and other facilities to them, as that, due to the lockdown the poor and labour class was badly hit leaving them in chaotic situation, PCC President said.(KNS)
