Congress seeks release of salaries of PHE daily wagers, other State Govt employees

Srinagar May 12, (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today slammed the JK Govt over adopting unsympathetic approach to the issue of PHE Daily wagers.
According to statement issued to KNS, the JKPCC while expressing serious concern over the condition of PHE Daily Wagers, who are working since 2013 especially those belonging to Ramban, Rajouri, Doda, Kahtua and Samba and slammed the Govt over adopting unsympathetic and unresponsive approach to the issue of their pending wages.
Govt is not allowing PHE Department to release their wages, whileas the funds for these (PHE) Daily Wagers are reportedly available with the department, despite that, these poor people are suffering on account of their salaries, which is very unfortunate and dismaying, PCC said.
The Party said that during the financial year 2015 2016, PHE has released only four months salaries of these daily wagers, since then, they have not been paid, as reported and asked the Govt not create confusion on this account and direct the PHE department to release their wages keeping inview the upcoming auspicious occasion of Eid Ul Fitr.
Similarly, the JK Govt should also release the salaries of employees working in different department, as that, on the pretext of some technical difficulty, the employees have not been paid since three months, PCC added and laid emphasis over releasing their pay on previous pattern till the technical difficulty, whatsoever, is resolved.
