UT administration to look into the grievances of 3200 employees

Srinagar, May 03 (KNS): The Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Sunday drew the attention of UT administration to the problems confronting HDF Employee and emphasized upon the authorities to create dignified job policy for them. It also said that HDF employees are unable to feed their families from paltry monthly salaries and urged authorities to take measures for their regularization by attaching importance to this genuine issue.

According to statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), JKPCC urged UT administration to look into the grievances of 3200 employees in J&K including Ambulance Drivers who are working under Hospital Development Fund since more than a decade on a paltry monthly salary, while having never been considered for some relief or regularization of their services in the department.

“Hospital Development Fund (HDF) employees are working 24x7, Ambulance Drivers are being paid 3000 and some 4000 even after rendering 15 years of services to the department, which is very discriminating and unjustified”, PCC said

JKPCC said the UT administration need to revisit the adjustment policy with regard to HDF employees in order to ensure that they too get accommodated in the department on permanent basis, the services they are rendering can’t be ignored.

“The HDF employees are facing tremendous difficulties on account of paltry salaries, they get from the Health Department, resulting in they are not even able to feed their families and urged the authorities to take measures for their regularization by attaching importance to this genuine issue”, JKPCC added. JKPCC further said that under the current worrying circumstances in wake of Covid-19, the HDF employees are working with great dedication, there services must be regularized in their interest and in the interest of the smooth functioning of Hospitals in J&K.
