Srinagar April 15 (KNS). The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today sought return of stranded students from Bangladesh in wake of extension in Lockdown.

The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir has emphasized the Lt. Governor G.C. Murmu to ensure return of the students stranded in Bangladesh or any other Indian Cities, on war footing basis, a statement issued to KNS said.

G.A.Mir said since the lockdown stands extended in wake of outbreak of Covid-19, it was imperative on the part of State Administration to bring back the stranded students, as that will ensure great relief to their parents.

I would strongly urge upon the Lt. Governor to take up the issue with the Foreign Ministry at the earliest to ensure that stranded students reach their homes, at the earliest, G.A. Mir said.

The families of these students were in quandary due to current situation and want their wards at home, as that will only give them a sense of relief, G.A. Mir added and sought immediate action by the Lt. Governor in this direction. (KNS)
