Srinagar, July 4: Congress party has expelled its two members whose "highly objectionable" audio clip mocking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Army in the wake of the recent face-off between India and China went viral on social media.

Speaking to KNS, J&K Congress Chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir said they were expelled from the party after ‘objectionable’ recording came to their notice.

“Nisar Ahmed Khan of Srinagar was our primary member and had recorded the conversation and the person from Kargil who was using objectionable words was from Kargil. Srinagar man has circulated it so FIR should have been lodged in Srinagar, not in Kargil,” he told KNS.

“Now the Kargil police has recorded the statement of both persons. Srinagar man has sent the recording to some persons here and some groups. So he is the culprit, not those whom he sent the recording. Receiving recording doesn’t make them culprit because they have not forwarded it, anyone,” he said.

We request local cyber police to use high tech technology to find out whether they have forwarded it some other persons and investigate their role here and not send them to Kargil, Congress Chief told KNS.
