Congress demands time bound probe into the killing of civilian, expresses solidarity with bereaved family Strongly condemns attack on Forces


 
Srinagar July 01:(KNS) The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today demanded time bound probe into the killing of Civilian near encounter site in Sopore.
JKPCC has expressed anguish over the killing of a civilian near encounter site in Sopore and demanded time bound impartial probe to ascertain the facts behind the killing of Bashir Ahmad Khan of HMT Srinagar, who was on way to Sopore when the incident occurred.
The Party also strongly condemned the attack on Forces, in which one CRPF personnel got killed, leaving others injured and termed the attack as shameless and mindless act.
Describing the loss of civilian as very unfortunate and painful, JKPCC said the family version of the deceased Bashir Ahmad Khan indicates that he was killed in cold blood, which has to be probed in a transparent manner to fix responsibility.
The Forces should exercise restraint while dealing with such situations to avoid loss of precious lives, PCC said.
PCC asked the Govt to order time bound impartial probe into the killing of Bashir Ahmad Khan and ensure justice to his family.
JKPCC expressed solidarity and conveyed deepest condolences to bereaved family.(KNS)
