Chrar, July 11 (KNS): Authorities on Saturday suspended operations in Child & Maternity Unit of SDH Chrar soon after a pregnant lady turned out to be Covid-19 positive.

According to KNS correspondent, a female who was admiited in Child & Maternity Unit of Sub-District hospital Chrar tested Covid-19 positive after which BMO Chrar ordered immediate suspension of operations in the Unit. However remaining units of SDH Chrar are functioning normally.

Official said that C&M Unit of SDH Chrar was temporarily closed down to keep away the Covid-19 pandemic and prticularly for the wellbeing and safety of medical staff and other visiting patients at the facility. He said the infected lady has been moved to isolation while contact history of the patient is being traced out and so far number of relatives and health workers have been put into quarantine. (KNS)
