CA&PD Department seized three broiler loaded vehicles in Anantnag

Anantnag, May 18 (KNS): Department of Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CA&PD) on Monday seized three broiler loaded vehicles illegally being transported to Kashmir Valley in wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), enforcement squad of CA&PD department seized three vehicles full of broilers that were illegally being transported to Kashmir Valley. CA&PD enforcement squad led by Abdul Rashid Bhat, after receiving inputs, swung into action and seized all load carriers.
Assistant Director Food, Anantnag Haji Wali Mohammad confirmed the seizure of vehicles and said enforcement wing officials have been strictly directed to speed up action against poultry dealers who sell broilers at higher rates in current circumstances.
He said the department received complaints in bulk that poultry dealers are selling broilers illegally in the market at exorbitant rates. However the action has been widely appreciated by public.
Deputy Director south also appreciated action taken by officials of enforcement wing. (KNS)
