Burglary bid foiled in Kupwara, two arrested

Srinagar, July 21 (KNS): Two persons on Tuesday afternoon held by police after making an unsuccessful burglary attempt in a Grameen Bank in north Kashmir’s Natnusa area of Kupwara district.
According to reports reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS), two persons apprehended were identified as Ashiq Ahmad son of Mohammad Ahsan Wani and Javed Ahmad son of Abdul Rahim Wani, both residents of Kulangam Handwara.
Brandishing toy guns, the duo entered in Grameen Bank branch at Natnusa and tried to threat officials there for materializing their plan, however the alert officials, as per reports, caught hold of the duo and snatched the toy guns from them.
Police while confirming the incident, told KNS that the duo has been arrested and necessary actions under relevant sections of law have been initiated. (KNS)
