BSF 194 BN organizes free medical camp in Mohura, Baramulla

Srinagar, Oct 14 (KNS): Border Security Force (BSF) 194 BN on Wednesday organized a free medical camp in Mohura area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district in which 185 patients of having different ailments were treated and were given free medicines of worth Rs. 50,000.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), on 14th Oct 2020, 194 Bn BSF organized a free medical camp at village Mohura, Barramulla with the aim of bringing medical awareness and to provide complete medical check-up to the people of the village, who have very little access to basic healthcare services.
The medical camp provided free medical advice and medicines to the locals and also advised the chronic patients for specialized treatment. Two medical officers of BSF examined 185 patients and provided them free medicines worth Rs 50,000. Apart from medical service, locals were educated about COVID-19, its prevention and DO’s & Don’t regarding precaution against the pandemic.
During the camp, locals were also briefed if they need subsequent treatment they can visit the unit hospital for further advice.
Meanwhile the response of the local population was overwhelming and they were happy that their medical well-being is taken care of despite the spread of COVID-19.
The unit is also having a plan for organizing free medical camps at village Lagama on 28th Oct 2020 and in village Gingle on 03 Nov 2020.
Notably 194 Bn BSF being a socially cognizant organization is organizing free medical camps and other community based services since long. (KNS)
