Tangdar, July 07 (KNS): The block panchayts of tehsil Karnah on Tuesday appealed authorities for allocation of fire and emergency service in the area
According to KNS correspondent Chairman block development council Tangdar, Rayaz Ahmad khawaja told that the karnah tehsil’s both block panchayats have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu and Director General F&E Services J&K, to allocate to them mini vehicles of fire and service department. Hereby.
it is pertinent to mention that the karnah valley has two block panchayats Tangdar and Teetwal both include stretches that are arduous, hilly, with narrow passages making many such areas for regular F&E service vehicles inaccessible.
He further added, the Tehsil has only two fire extinguisher buses but with only one staff member who switches his role from driver to in-charge of the department. There is dire need of the manpower to avert any unanticipated natural or anthropogenic disaster. Ex MLC Javid Mirchal also commented on the issue saying the vehicles ought to be given for areas such as Gabra, tad etc which are always inundated with problems of one or the other sort owing to road connectivity.
