Srinagar, July 22 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and former MLC Firdous Tak alleged that BJP and RSS are considered Kashmiri Muslims “stumbling block” in making India a Hindu Rashtra while a perception is being created on social media under guidance of Nazi influenced organizations to muzzle genuine aspirations of territorial population.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), PDP leader in an interview alleged that BJP and RSS have carried out an “perceptional battle” against Muslim majority of Jammu and Kashmir under the influence of Israel and considering Kashmiri Muslims “stumbling block” in making India a “Hindu Rashtra”.

“Presently BJP and RSS are fighting a perceptional battle against Kashmiri’s on the directions of Israel. Legislations are being made with consultations of anti-Muslim nations aimed to change the Muslim majority character of J&K as it is the only barrier of making India into Hindu Rashtra before saffron party”, Tak said.

PDP leader alleged that BJP has created thousands of fake IDs for which thousands of people and companies have been hired aimed to negate the version of local population. He added Kashmiri’s need to loud their voice and answer senseless arguments through democratic means.

“Unlike others the issue around special status of Jammu and Kashmir is the battle of identity, honor and self-esteem for us. The perception being created on social media is another plan of Nazi influenced organizations to muzzle genuine aspirations and issues”, PDP leader said, adding “It is unimaginable for PDP to give up on Article 370 as our stance is clear, unambiguous and reasonable, there is no question of surrender”.

“The decision taken by BJP on August 5, 2019 was a blot on history of India parliament and democracy when power of parliament was absolutely abused”, Firdous Tak asserted.

Terming talks with Pakistan and Hurriyat Conference was a bed rock of coalition with BJP in recent past, PDP leader said, “We formed government with BJP on our terms. We made it clear that talks with Pakistan & Hurriyat Conference is must if peace in the region is destination, reined them from tempering with Article 370, ensured ceasefire in Ramadhan, gave amnesty to 16,000 stone throwers and didn’t accept diktat of flexing muscles to Jama’at-e-Islami J&K but such measures suffocated BJP gradually who succumbed in midway and left the coalition”.

He claimed that PDP may have made mistakes but never compromised on basic principles. “We never change our stand on basic principles. Article 370 is matter of our honor, dignity and self-esteem for us. We have to put forth our opinion through democratic way”, he said, adding “If I will be imprisoned for representing true voice, I will not shy away”, PDP leader said.

Notably on July 20, PDP in a meeting reiterated its stand that August 5, 2019 was the darkest chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. It said, “The manner in which Parliament of India was misused to betray people of this erstwhile state by abrogating Article 370 and 35 A and downgrading the state into Union Territory shall always be a blot on the highest democratic institution”.

PDP chief Mehbooba along with two former CMs – Dr Farooq and Omar Abdullah were detained on August 5, 2019 hours before New Delhi stripped special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 and 35(A) from its constitution and downgraded the erstwhile state into two Union Territories (UTs) – J&K and Ladakh. Though the duo Abdullah’s had been released later on after remaining incarcerated for over seven months, Mehbooba Mufti is still under “preventive detention” and has been kept into her residence which has been turned into sub-jail by authorities.
