Bhatpora Village of Karnah without Water

Srinagar, July 4: (KNS) The inahabitants of Bhatpora Karnah in north Kashmir's Kupwara district have decried shortage of portable water in the area for past over two weeks.
Local of the area Told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that due to shortage of water, the people are facing immense problems.
People said they have been without tap water for several days, with the authorities doing nothing to solve their problem.
Villagers said authorities paid no heed to their grievances and have to fetch waters from other sources like wells and local stream.
“We are facing an acute shortage of water and the authorities have turned a deaf ear towards our repeated pleas. They are making no efforts to ease our difficulties,” Amjid Shakoor, a local, said.
When KNS Contacted to Assistant Executive Engineer PHE he said no one complained to me about the shortage of water anywhere if there is complaint somewhere he assured that their issues will be resolved on priority.(KNS)
