Gupkar Declaration meet shortly - Muzzafar Shah

Srinagar October 14:(KNS) The J&K Awami National Conference has welcomed the release of PDP President Ms Mehbooba Mufti after her illogical, unwanted & uncalled for prolonged detention after the Narinder Modi Govt’s decision of 5th August 2019 that has pushed Jammu & Kashmir into a political crisis nationally & internationally. The entire country has been put to risk by the unconstitutional, illegal & arbitrary decision taken at the behest of divisive forces spearheaded by the RSS.
This was stated in a press statement released from ANC headquarters in Srinagar today after the ANC chief Begum Khalida Shah’s telephonic conversation with former JK Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti welcoming her release from detention & stressing on the historic requirement for a united fight to secure the special status of J&K State with honour & dignity.
The ANC Sr Vice President Mr Muzzafar Shah while welcoming the release of the PDP Chief expressed the hope that all political prisoners languishing in jails in & outside J&K are released forthwith along with the AIP chief Er. Rasheed.
The Gupkar Declaration which has assumed a pivotal significance in all three divisions of Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh will leave no stone unturned to get the Constitutional position of the State restored with honour & dignity. An overwhelming population of the state is fully backing the Gupkar Declaration cutting across region & religion. The meeting of the Gupkar Declaration will be held shortly, the ANC Sr VP said.(KNS)
