Baramulla Police Organize Police Community Partnership Meet in Bijhema Uri

Uri, July 01 (KNS): Baramulla Police on Wednesday organized a Police Community Partnership Meeting (PCPG) at PS Bijhama which was presided by SDPO Uri besides other police officials attended the meet.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), during the meeting Covid-19 precautionary guideline were strictly adhered upon by the participants besides maintaining social distancing and wearing of face masks.

The meet was attended by respectable citizens of the area including BDC Chairman Bijhama, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Market President Bijhama and other representatives of the community. At the occasion a gathering of 20-25 people attended who were addressed by police officials.

During the meeting, police officials sought cooperation from public regarding maintenance and adherence of Covid-19 lockdown guidelines on ground, curbing social vices and crimes especially drug trade to which participants assured their full cooperation in making society free from such fistulas.

SDPO Uri Junaid Wali, who chaired the meet, heard issued patiently raked up by participants and assured them of taking up of these issues to concerned officials for early redressal.

Most of the issues brought up during the meet pertained to civil departments like construction of community bunkers, repair of road stretches, establishment/sanction of bank branches at Bijhama and Salamabad Dachna localities, facilitation of mobile communication etc. The members were assured that the issues will be forwarded to concerned departments though district administration.
