Bandipora police solves theft case within 08 hours, accused arrested

Srinagar, Oct 02 (KNS): Bandipora police today claimed to have solved a theft case have arrested accused within 8 hours.
According to police statement issued to KNS reads, Police in Bandipora solved a theft case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime and have recovered stolen gold worth lakhs from his possession.
Police Station Hajin received a complaint from one person Mohmad Amin Dar son of Assad-ul-lah Dar resident of Gundboon Hajin reported that some unknown persons have trespassed into his residential house and decamped with the jewellery worth lakhs.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 40/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Hajin and investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation, officers taking assistance of modern techniques learnt about the involvement of one accused person identified as Abdul Rashid Dar resident of Seelu Sopore. He was arrested and shifted to PS Hajin where he remains in custoday. Officers were able to recover stolen jewellery worth lakhs on his disclosure within 08 hours from his house. Further investigation in to the case is going on.
