Bandipora March 24 (KNS): After Allotment of land over one year ago, the construction of District Institute of Education and Training(DIET)  is yet to start in North Kashmir's Bandipora District.

A delegation of Senior Citizens informed KNS that after a long struggle in power corridors, land has been demarcated at kaloosa-watrina road one year before but unfortunately construction work is still pending despite many representations to District administration and other stakeholders.

They requested the District Development commissioner Bandipora at least do walling of land to save it from encroachers.

" Bandipora  is the only district in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir Which is without District Institute of Education and Training Complex. We appeal District Development Commissioner Bandipora to personally intervene in it,”, they added.

CEO & principal DIET, javid Iqbal Wani told KNS that land has been allotted to DIET Bandipora before one year, “ We have submitted two crore proposal to the department which includes 50 lac outlay for the construction of boundary wall.”

He said that the department is in constant touch with directorate who will hopefully approve the plan this year.(KNS)
