Bad road connectivity irks villagam residents; authorities unmoved


Srinagar, July 22 (KNS): Inhabitants of Lone Mohalla Amargadh Tarathpora, in north Sub division Handwara on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration against PMGSY department for not renovating their road resulting miseries to common masses at large.
The residents of the area told KNS that they are facing huge problems in absence of the proper road connectivity.
The protesting residents said that although the renovation of Shaherkoot - Phalmarg road was taken up by PMGSY department two years back but the stretch near Lone Mohalla is not being renovated reasons best known to the authorities.

Bashir Ahmad a local resident while talking to KNS said, “because of the little drizzle the stretch presents stream like view, hence become impossible for them to walk on this street”.

Another resident, Asif lone questioned that although 3 crore rupees are being spent on Shaherkoot - Phalmarg road but they are unable to figure out that why it is not being renovated near Lone Mohalla.
They have appealed the authorities to direct the concern authorities to repair the road at the earliest so that the resident of the area will not face the problems ahead.
It is worth to mention that similar reports were also received from various area of Handwara where residents have expressed dismay over the delaying on the road projects by the PMGSY department (KNS)
