Ayesha Ali Academy, Kulgam emerges brand in quality education

Srinagar, Nov 09 (KNS): At a time when bulk of educational institutes across valley have failed to maintain qualitative education besides well-educated and trained faculty, Ayesha Ali Academy in south Kashmir's Kulgam district has emerged a brand of quality education in its first year of operation.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Ayesha Ali Academy was established in year 2019 in a small village of Kanipora in Kulgam district. During inauguration of this educational institute the small village of Kanipora celebrated the moment. Locals expressed happiness and joy besides hoped for the best future of new generation of the village. Tears, traditions, hugs and cheers welcomed the opening of a school, Ayesha Ali Academy in an area with a lower literacy rate compared to rest of Jammu and Kashmir.

Unlike other educational institutes of valley. Ayesha Ali Academy tread a different path based on professionalism, resuting the school more than a year after its inception has taken huge strides towards excellence in all spheres of education.

Emerging as a brand of quality education in its first year of operation, 840 students were enrolled with 48 teachers on board. The administration led by Principal Mohit Marg has 43 staff members.

Despite "preventive restrictions" imposed by Government of J&K on several occasions including post August 5, 2019 situation and Covid19 lockdown, the school managed to continue its classes on virtually mode. “During Covid-19 we successfully operated classes through zoom and google meet. Took our Periodic Assessments,  half-yearly via online mode. We are on track with our syllabus and parents were fully satisfied with our work,” Mohit Marg, Principal of the school said.

Off late in October last month, the school has emerged as the first and only English medium educational institution in the belt to acquire CBSE affiliation till Secondary board. Given the response of society, the managing body feels overwhelmed. “Society acknowledged our hard & smart work. We cater each and every child of our Academy and ensured that learning never stopped in Ayesha Ali Academy,” said Mohit.

The school as per the details follows a child-centred curriculum based on CBSE pattern supplemented with co-curricular and extra-curricular programs. Hopeful of better results at the board level, Mohit said first board result will be in 2022-23. “Our Academic Session is between Dec – Dec with one and half month break from last week Dec to Mid Feb,” he added.

The school is currently working for establishing multi-sports academy in order to guide students in overall spheres of life.

Meanwhile the school is planning to upgrade its acedemics and other sports related activities. “We plan to apply for Senior Secondary Affiliation in March 2021 and to open a multi-sports academy in Kulgam", Mohit told. (KNS)
