Srinagar, Apr 21 (KNS): Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah On Tuesday escaped unhurt after snow avalanche hit his vehicle in Sadhna top area of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Reports reached to KNS said that SDM Karnah Bilal Mohi-ud-din was on his way from Karnah to Kupwara but when he reached to Sadhna top, a huge snow avalanche hit his vehicle. Soon after the mishap, local army unit launched rescue operation and saved SDM, his Personal Security Officer (PSO) and a driver.

Reports also said that the PSO of SDM have received minor injuries in the incident.

However SSP Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar confirmed the incident and said all have been rescued. (KNS)
