Authorities seize portion of Nursing Home in Handwara for insufficient facilities

Srinagar, April 21 (KNS): Authorities on Tuesday seized a portion of a Nursing Home in Handwara town of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Reports reached to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that officials of sub-division Handwara carried a raid in a private Nursing Home situated at Bypass Road Handwara after received a complaint of insufficient facilities there.

The raid was carried out by Tehsildar Handwara Aijaz Ahmad and BMO Handwara Abdul Majeed on the directions of ADC Handwara Nazir Ahmad and seized the portion of the Nursing Home on spot for violating norms set for running a medical facility.

Sources told KNS that the officials at the accasion, sealed operation theatre of the hospital.

Meanwhile when KNS contacted Tehsildar Handwara, he said that on the directions of ADC Handwara they have sealed the portion of the hospital who floated norms set for running a private hospital.

He added that no facility for Covid-19 was existing in the said hospital. (KNS)
