Authorities carries out market inspection in Kralgund, Handwara

Handwara, June 10 (KNS): In order to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic, an extensive market checking drive was conducted in the jurisdiction of Police station Kralgund on Wednesday.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), an inspection was carried out by joint teams of revenue, Deputy Magistrate Covid-19 and Police Department who checked quality of food items and the rate lists of the shopkeepers.

In-charge Deputy Magistrate Covid-19 Kralgund Iqbal Rasool said shops who violated lockdown guidelins were closed during the inspection. At the occasion several persons roaming in the area without taking precautions were fined for not wearing the masks and were advised to take utmost precautions while stepping out for exigencies.

He said the inspection team also visited J&K Bank Kralgund and SDH Hospital kralgund were all the staff members were present and all the necessary facilities were found available.

Meanwhile locals of the area hailed the officials who are on special Covid-19 duty and appealed them to continue their surpise visits in future as well. (KNS)
