Budgam, March 18:(KNS)    Arrangements for the ensuing auspicious festival of Navroz
Alam in district Budgam were finalized today in a meeting convened under the
chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza.
Among others the meeting was attended by CPO, XEN PDD, ARTO, officers of
PHE, CAPD, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Municipal Committees.
Briefing about the decision taken with regard to arrangements the DC said that the
fisheries department has been directed to ensure availability of trout fish for sale at
the designated locations. In addition the department will also keep available fish
for interested consumers.
The Executive officers of all concerned Municipal Committees were instructed to
conduct pre festival and post festival special cleanliness drives at Imambadas under
their jurisdiction and initiate pro active measures for dumping of garbage and other
waste.
The DC also instructed officials of CA&PD and M.C to conduct rigorous market
inspection and ensure no black marketing or unfair trade practice is taking place in
markets.
Urging the health Department to ensure availability of staff and ambulances at all
sub centres, the DC with regard to availability of ration directed AD Food to
ensure supply of Ration including other essentials at all centers and further they
were directed to remain open on Sunday too for the convenience of Shia
population.
During the meeting the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer said that the departments
has made arrangements to keep chicken birds available for Shia consumers and the
stocks would be kept available at identified locations and in addition mobile sale
centers will also provide chickens to the consumers .
During the meeting the DC directed Department of PHE and PDD to ensure
uninterrupted power and drinking water supply in the Shia population areas.(KNS)
