NC expresses grief over killing of S.I. Imran Tak

Spokesperson participates in wreath-laying ceremony at DPL Srinagar


Srinagar, Nov 17 (KNS): National Conference on Friday expressed grief and sorrow over the killing of Sub Inspector Imran Ahmed Tak during a police operation in Zakura, Srinagar. Paying tributes to the martyred police officer, NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, General Secreraty Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar and Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani said the party stood in solidarity with the martyred officer’s family and his colleagues in this moment of loss.
National Conference State Spokesperson Junaid AzimMattu visited District Police Lines, Srinagar on Friday evening and participated in the wreath laying ceremony of the martyred officer.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, the NC State Spokesperson said the cycle of death and destruction in Kashmir continued to consume young lives and the need of the hour was to find a way forward to break the cycle of violence and destruction.
“We stand in solidarity with young martyred officer Sub Inspector Imran Ahmed Tak’s family and his colleagues. His sacrifice should not go in vain. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family. We also pray for the speedy recovery of another SPO of the Police who sustained injuries in the attack”, Mattu said. (KNS)
