Says SRO 202 issued after conscious and thoughtful decision

Srinagar, Jan 09 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday nullified the reports about it revoking the new job policy under which those inducted in government service post 2015 are entitled to draw only meager wages for the period of five years.
SRO 202 was issued by Government of Jammu and Kashmir on June 30, 2015 and remains applicable thereafter. SRO 202 is a set of rules issued by the Governor (N N Vohra) of Jammu and Kashmir under the powers conferred by the proviso to section 124 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir.

And further every appointee shall after completion of five years period on probation be entitled to fixation of pay in the time-scale of pay applicable to the post against which he is appointed.

However, on Tuesday, the state government clarified on the floor of the house that it has no proposal under consideration to revoke the SRO 202 of 2015.
