Apni Party to send memorandum to GoI on BSF recruitment

JAMMU, February 08:(KNS)   Apni Party has decided to send a memorandum to the Govt of India seeking intervention into the recruitment process of 1100 youth who were neglected in the selection process in Border Security Force (BSF).

A deputation of aspirants in BSF called on Former Minister and Apni Party senior leader Mohammed Dilawar Mir, General Secretary Vijay Bakaya and Provincial President Jammu Manjit Singh at Gandhi Nagar Party Office.

The deputation apprised the Party leaders that they had cleared the physical, written and medical tests which were mandatory in any belt force recruitment as per the merits. However, they were not selected and the merit was increased in which they did not fall, the deputation informed the Apni Party Leaders.

Mohammed Dilawar Mir assured them that their issue will be taken up with the Union Home Ministry and a memorandum will also be sent on their behalf by Apni Party.

Mir listened to their demands and said that it was injustice with the educated youth if they were selected and questioned the sudden increase in merit.

After hearing their concerns, General Secretary, Apni Party, Vijay Bakaya said that the BSF is going to advertise 30000 and the recruitment authorities in BSF should include these distressed youth and give them a chance to appear in the recruitment process.

“If they are not recruited timely, they will become over aged. We will take up the issue with the Govt of India,” he added.

Provincial President Jammu Manjit Singh said that “The BSF should not ignore the genuinely selected aspirants in the border force. They have cleared the recruitment after facing tough competition on ground.”

He said that the unemployment graph is already increasing and the youth who want to defend motherland should be given a chance in BSF to serve on the basis of merits. “The border force must explain the reasons for increasing merit,” he added.

Provincial President Women Wing, Jammu, Namrta Sharma said that the deserving candidates should be given a chance in the recruitment process and a transparent process should be adopted.

“The recruitment process in BSF should be put to scrutiny in view of allegations. The aspirants have claimed that they were rejected despite selection,” said Namrta.(KNS)
