Srinagar, April 9(KNS): Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam has expressed deep grief over the demise of Khwaja Abdul Rasheed Jan of Malik Sahib, Safa Kadal, Srinagar.
A statement issued to KNS reads,: The deceased, a former Deputy Conservator of Forest was a lifelong member of the Anjuman , who was deeply and actively affiliated with the functioning and progress of the Safa Kadal branch of Islamia school"
It added: Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam paid glowing tributes to Late Khwaja Abdul Rasheed for his contribution in Anjuman’s efforts towards spread of education in the Valley. Recalling his services Anjuman said that Late Abdul Rasheed was a sincere and dynamic person working for social and educational upliftment of society especially the poor . Anjuman termed his demise as a great loss.
Incarcerated Patron of the Anjuman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a message expressed sorrow at the demise of Khawaja Abdul Rashid and extended his condolences to the deceased’s family especially his sons Dr Haroon Rasheed Jan and Dr Tariq Rasheed Jan, statement said.(KNS)
