ANC Inaugurates District Office Kupwara, re organized District Body

Srinagar 6 March (KNS): In continuation with the reorganization and mass contact programe of ANC at District levels, ANC held its meeting at Kupwara presided over by ANC Provincial President Rahi Riyaz Ahamad with ANC Addl.General Secretary Mir Aman ullah Kant as guest of honour, Distt. President Bandipora, Gh.Mohi-u-din Bhat and Syed Irshad Naqshbandi, In charge Distt. President Baramulla attended the function as special invitees.

As per the statement issued to news agency-kashmir news service (KNS), The well attended Distt. Kupwara meeting unanimously re elected Md. Shafi Khan of Thregam as Distt. President,  Nazir Ahmad Kirmani as Distt. Vice President, .Ab.Rashid Lone as Distt. Secretary, Md.Maqbool Distt .Coordinator, Manzoor Ahmad Khan Publicity Secretary, Showkat Ahamad Wani organizer and Md. Iqbal Khan as treasurer.

The ANC Distt. Kupwara nominated Md. Maqbool Khan, Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh, Momin Afzal Sheikh, Khursheed Ahmad Lone, Gulab Khan, Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, Jamsheed Ahmad Bhat, Gh. Rasool Wani, Noor Hassan Khan, Banu Ji, Md. Sultan Dar, Sameena Begum, Ab. Satar Dar, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan Saleema Bano, Manzoor Ahmad Khan, Bashir Ahmad Shah, Javid Ahmad Pleser, Fayaz Ahmad Wani  as members of the committee.

While speaking at this meeting held at ANC Distt. office Kupwara the Distt. President Md.Shafi Khan assured the Party Central Leadership of Distt. Kupwara becoming one of the strong holds of Awami National Conference in the near future as all the Political Parties having used the innocent people of this far flung Distt. only for their narrow Political goals and vote bank Politics. The ANC Provincial President Rahi Riyaz and guest of honour Mir Aman ullah Kant highlighted the role of the ANC leadership Begum Khalida Shah and Sr.VP Mr.Muzzafar Shah in pinpointing the necessity of all Political Leadership to come under one banner for protection of Article 370 and Article 35 A. They also congratulated Mr.Muzzafar Shah for the leadership role he under took in strengthening the PAGD and his role in the success of PAGD in the recent DDC elections.

The other Distt. Committee members and the special invitees spoke on the urgent requirement for the people of J&K State to be provided by a sincere and delegated leadership in this hour of crises facing the people of J&K, Ladakh and Kargil. The meeting unanimously resolved to stand behind the ANC leadership in the fight for restoration of Article 370 and Article 35 A.

The meeting also unanimously resolved to forward a penal of candidates to the Central leadership for choosing the ANC candidate for Drugmulla ST Constituency having fallen vacant after yesterday’s election commission order.(KNS)
