Anantnag, Dec 12 (KNS): South Kashmir's Anantnag district has topped in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in MGNERAGA Time Wage Payment.

In a recent analysis of National Electronic Fund Management System (NEFMS), the name of Anantnag district has topped the list. According to official figures the percentage of timely payment in the district as on 11.12.2020 is 32.4% which mounted to 33% as on 12.12.2020. The data revealed that there is 0.6% increase in change in timely payments from previous days.

As the district has topped in Rural Developmental works according to figures available, the officials are hopeful that in times to come health and education sectors will remain the priority before the administration.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag Kuldeep Krishan Sidha told KNS that the administration is leaving no stone unturned to give as much as possible to people at grssroots level. He hoped the coordination and synergy between the departments will soon make Anantnag a prestigious and superior district in the Union Territory.

According to the list, Anantnag as per performance is followed by Kistwar, Baramullah, Samba, Poonch, Ganderbal, Budgam, Udhampur, Ramban, Kupwara, Srinagar, Jammu, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Rajouri, Kathua, Reasi, Doda and Bandipora. (KNS)
