Anantnag, Jan 05 (KNS): Senior BJP leader Darkhshan Andrabi Tuesday urged upon civil administration to live up to the peoples expectation amid major snowfall in valley and clear the accumulated snow from roads.
Talking to KNS bureau chief south Kashmir the BJP leader urged upon civil administration to ensure better road connectivity amidst harsh weather across valley. She said though civil administration is already pressed into service but it should come up with more and live up peoples expectation to ensure trouble-free life to common people as valley has witnessed major snowfall that disrupted normal life badly.
She added that interrupted power supply during winters has become common in valley but it was the job of administration to put such a mechanism in place so that electric poles, wires and other related infrastructure could be saved from the brunt of natural calamities. “It is common here that snowfall snatches electricity on its first hit. Why administration didn’t ensure a mechanism so far to save electricity related infrastructure in harsh circumstance so that people do not regular power cuts”, she said.
She emphasized upon divisional administration to gear up its men and machinery and clear all main and link roads from accumulated snow and ensure hassle free movement of people who need to come out for exigencies. (KNS)
