Srinagar, July 18 (KNS): Residents of several villages of Mawer Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday complained that they are without electricity amid heat wave from last two days and the concern department is watching as mute spectator.
According to KNS correspondent, the Nowgam feeder is without electricity and several villages including Audoora, Sharhma, Lach Mawer and adjoining villages are suffering in absence of the electricity in this rising high temperature.
The residents said that they are paying their regular electric tariff bills despite that the PDD is not providing them the electricity.
They have alleged that the employees at grid station are deliberately disturbing the power supply to the area.
The residents have appealed the authorities to restore the power supply in the area at the earliest.
However, an official of PDD division Handwara contested the claims of locals and said why will employees disconnect the power supply to the particular area (KNS)
