Srinagar, December 19:(KNS) Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Saturday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Molvi Ghulam Ahmad Shah, former Khateeb Jamia Qadeem Rawalpora.

 

Bukhari also condoled the demise of prominent social activist Ghulam Mohammad Bhat of Budshah Nagar who passed away yesterday.

 

In a condolence message issued here, Bukhari said: “Moulvi Ghulam Ahmad Shah Saheb shall be remembered for times to come for his contribution in imparting religious teachings in Rawalpora and its adjoining areas. During his 50 years as Imam-e-Jamia at Rawalpora, he did not only preach religion but also contributed to social reforms.

 

Similarly, he said that Ghulam Mohammad Bhat was a thorough gentleman and pious soul who has left indelible marks in philanthropic activities thereby helping out many underprivileged families in the area. “At this difficult time, I sympathize with the family of late Bhat sahib especially Apni Party prominent workers Tariq Ahmad and Aftab Ahmad who have lost their elder uncle.”

 

Bukhari prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. (KNS)
