Demand stern action against him for hurting religious sentiments

Srinagar, March 13: (KNS) Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Saturday condemned Waseem Rizvi's move to approach Supreme Court with an abhorrable petition challenging Quranic scripture and demanded stern action against him under law.

In a statement issued here, Bukhari said the holy Quran is a word of God that can not be challenged before any court of law or at any forum in this world.

He said that persons like Waseem Rizvi are forces inimical to peace and communal harmony in the world and they should be dealt with sternly under law.

“The Apex Court should not admit this petition but instead should take strong cognizance of his blasphemous and sacrilegious act which has hurt the sentiments of Muslims across the globe," Bukhari demanded.

He said that government should book Waseem under eleventh provisions of law and put him to trial for his sacrilegious remarks.(KNS)
