Handwara, Oct 12 (KNS): District Hospital Handwara on Monday clarified that the allegations recently levelled by the attendants of a pregnant lady are "far from realities" as they tried to malign the image of hospital authorities by their misconduct.

Accordimg to KNS, DH Handwara said recently a patient alleged misbehavior by doctors which was an attempt to distort the facts.

"Factually the pregnant  lady was having less blood and their attendants were asked  to fufill the required formalities which they delayed. They were informed that any negligence on their part will cause problems to the patient", hospital sources told KNS.

They said the patient was lateron shifted  to DH Baramulla in 108 Ambulance after which she delivered a baby on way. During delivery, a well trained technician was present on the spot who performed his duty professionally which led no harm to lady and her baby.

They said the patient was given all the required and possible facilities at Baramulla Hospital as per the protocol set for such patients.

They added doctors never resort to misbehavior with any patient as they treat the patients while taking it their moral duty. They further added that since outbreak of Covid-19 doctors are combatting the virus from frontline and despite the flow of virus infected patients, doctors leave no stone unturned to serve other general patients.

Dr Nisar Ahmad Wani, MS of DH Handwara said the family of the pregnant  lady and her attendants were called in Handwara where doctors discussed the situation with them after which they got satisfied and thanked the hospital administration.

MS however maintained that there is no room for anti-patient in the department and any such act if reported won't be tolerated. (KNS)
