Handwara September 08: (KNS) Farooq Ahmad Wani, Block President of Awami Ithad Party (AIP) of Langate constituency on Tuesday said that the government should regularise all the daily wagers, casual labours and other temporary employees who are working in the different departments across the Jammu and Kashmir. He Particularly raised the damand of regularization of GRS MGNERGA workers, who are working on contractual basis from last 13, 14 years. These are the young highly qualified people recruited by government but till date have not been regularized.
Farooq Ah wani urged government of J&K UT to resolve the long pending demands of the MGNREGA Employees to regularize these GRS contractual employees. He further said that these people have been working without job security due to which the employees are in mental trauma .
The employees under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) have been demanding the government to enhance their basic salary,regularizing and frame job policy for them, he added.
I humbly appeal J&K Govt Lt Governor, Chief Secretary to have sympathetic looks towards the genuine issue by issuing formal orders for regularization against available vacant vacancies in Rural Development Department.(KNS)
