Srinagar, 10 January (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Leader Ahsan Pardesi  on Sunday  demanded immediate roll back of SRO-103 terming it as gross injustice to unemployed and educated youth of J&K.

In a statement issued to news agency-kashmir news service (KNS),  Pardesi termed the new rules  whimsical in nature and demanded immediate roll back of the SRO-103 saying the injudicious  rules are fraught with dangerous consequences and will further push the educated and unemployed youth of J&K to wall, 'he said.

He said the implementation of this SRO would also add to the rising levels of frustration among unemployed youth, who are already suffering on account  of absence of any viable private sector in J&K. He also said the new rule will particularly hit those aspirants who are presently taking coaching for the  civil services and have passed the upper age bar. "The entire lot is at the receiving end because they have already squandered all their resources on the coaching. It will be sheer injustice with those aspirants who for the past five years have burnt mid night oil for the upcoming civil  KAS-2021 examination. There aspirations aspirations stand spoiled and resources and time wasted. It is expected that the government would not let it happen, "he said.

He said the youth in J&K have already been facing shrinking avenues of employment and that the new rule will add to their plight. “There is no reason to reduce the age limit of civil services aspirants to 32 when the upper age limit in rest of the country even exceeds 38 and 40.the move will brew alienation among youth,” he pleaded.

He appealed the government to roll back the new amendment and provide respite to the resenting KAS aspirants who currently are in a condition of extreme distress.
Ahsan pardesi said

“I appeal to the Government of India and in particular to the Lt. Governor of J&K to address the genuine grievances of civil services aspirants of J&K by repealing the SRO-130,"he said.
He also urged the government to fast track the three tire civil services saying previously the aspirants had lost  their precious time due to the cumbersome process. The entire process should be transparent as well, he added.(KNS)
