Adbee Markaz Kamraz Remembers Shujaat Bukhari


Srinagar, june 14 (KNS):Oldest and largest literary amalgam of Jammu and Kashmir, Adbee Markaz kamraz organised an online event today on it's Whatsaap page,to pay tributes and respect to it's former president, globally acclaimed journalist and dedicated social and cultural activist Dr Shujaat Bukhari on his 2nd death anniversary.In this online program leading journalists,academicians,artists,writers and lovers of literature paid glowing tributes to Dr Shujaat.
According to statement issued to KNS, the event was presided over by Vice Chancellor Central University Kashmir Prof Meraj Ud din while noted scholar, social activist and former chairman of Public Service Commission Mohammed shafi Pandit was the chief guest.
Key note address was presented by famous kashmiri writer and former Secretary J&K Cultural Academy Dr Aziz Hajini.
Those who spoke on various facets of the multi dimensional personality of late Shuruaat Bukhari includ, Prof.M.Zaman Azurda, Farooq Nazki, Anuradhada Bhasin, Zaffar Choudhary, Muneer ul Islam(secretary cultural Academy), Dr G.N.Itoo(DDC Baramulla), K.D.Maini, Prof Naseem Shafaie, Rajesh Raina, Riyaz Maroor, Ayash Arif, Prof Farooq Fayaz, Mushtaq Ahmad Mushtaq, Ab.Ahad Hajini, Waheed jeelani, Syed sad-ud- din Saidi, Nazir Hussain Husain, Syed Rashid Jawhar, Abid Ashraf, Mir Tariq, Irshad Ahmad Shah and Syed Akhter Mansoor.
Earlier in his welcome address President Abdbee Markaz kamraz Farooq Rafi highlighted the contribution of luminaries like Shujaat Bukhari in making the language movement in Kashmir vibrant under the banner of AMK.
General secretary Adbee Markaz kamraz Abdul Khaliq Shams proposed vote of thanks while the proceedings of program were conducted by Shakir Shafi.
The technical coordination of vent was managed by Jameel Ansari and Majid Majazi.
Same type of event is scheduled to be organised on 103rd birth anniversary of founder of Adbee Makaz kamraz and maker of modern Kashmiri language and literature Prof Mohi ud din Hajini. The program is scheduled to be held on 22nd June 2020.
