Remember, the work on the road was stopped way back in 2014 this turning conditions of Road deplorable however soon after the joining Deputy commissioner Anantnag Kuldip krishan sidha on the request of People of Shangus and Achabal visited the area and took serious note of the bottlenecks created by some officials without any reason.
Without wasting any fraction of second DC Anantnag chaired a high level meeting of officers and sought detailed report thus addressing the bottlenecks and the difficulties people face with the non serious approach of some officials in making the conditions of road better.
PMGSY officials started the Mecadamisation of this road and other things including wet mixing from today . executive Engineer pmgsy Anantnag Khalid Mehmood said on the directions of DC Anantnag matter was referred to chief office and things stand now sorted out and we will complete macadamization of this road in fifteen days that is really a big and good news for the people.
Meanwhile, Shangus and Achabal Awqaf commitees have appreciated efforts of DC Anantnag and Pmgsy in starting the repairment of road by mecadamisation of Bad patches on road.
It is important to mention here more than ninety lacs would be spend on this road in making Achabal shangus road better for travelling.
