AAC organises Fateha Khawani for Late Salam-ud-Din Kamili

Srinagar, Mar 8 (KNS): Awami Action Committee (AAC) on Monday organised a Fateha Khawani for Late Salam-ud-Din Kamili, former member of the organisation and PRO to Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq, at the deceased’s residence Lal Bazar, Srinagar in view of Covid-19.


As per the statement issued to news agency-kashmir news service(KNS), Besides the organisation’s members and activists, the congregational prayer meet was attended by the members and representatives of several religious and social organisations which include Moulana Khursheed Ahmad Qanungo of Anjuman Himayat-ul-Islam, Mir Ghulam Muhammad Saqi of Jamiat Hamdania, Mir Bashir Ahmad Kanth – a representative of Mufti Azam Jammu & Kashmir, renowned khateeb Moulvi Muhammad Ashraf Kamili, Naat Khwaan Muhammad Yasin Trumboo and others.


The members paid glorious tributes to Late Salam-ud-Din Kamili for his contribution and sacrifices toward the movement especially his love and devotion with the Mirwaiz Family and his life-long association with Shaheed-e-Millat.


Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq due to his continuous house arrest could neither participate in the Namaz-e-Janazah of the deceased nor visit the bereaved family to express condolence with them. However, Moulana M S Rehman Shams on behalf of AAC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and the organisation’s central leadership conveyed the condolence and solidarity message to the bereaved family especially the sons of Late Salam-ud-Din Kamili – Fayaz Ahmad Kamili, Riyaz Ahmad Kamili and Rafaqat Hussain Kamili.


Moulana M S Rehman Shams while throwing light on the philosophy of life and death said Kamili Sahib was a sincere religious and social leader who played a remarkable role in assisting the Shaheed-e-Millat in carrying forward the work and projects related to organisations and institutions associated with the Mirwaiz Family which include Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam, Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid and AAC’s other social, welfare and religious works.


On the occasion, Awami Action Committee’s Ghulam Qadir Beigh, Jalal-ud-Din Reshi, Muhammad Yousuf Roshangar apart from Late Salam-ud-Din Kamili’s sons expressed condolence and solidarity with Mushtaq Ahmad Makhdoomi, Aasim Ashai, Muhammad Aslam Kamili, Muhammad Qaisar Kamili, and Moulana Muhammad Ashraf Kamili.

At the end, prayers were offered for the departed soul seeking Jannat-ul-Firdous to him.(KNS)
