Srinagar, Oct 7(KNS): Awami Action Committee (AAC) on Wednesday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Khawaja Nisar Ahmad Tanki who was the halqa president of Kathi Darwaza, Rainawari. The organisation paid glowing tributes to the deceased for his life-long services.
In a condolence statement, the AAC while remembering the invaluable services and sacrifices of the deceased towards the organisation and the movement said Khwaja Nisar Ahmad started his political career under the leadership of Shaheed-e-Millat (RA) and continued his political, social, welfare and pro-movement activism for decades under the leadership of the present chairman of the organisation Mirwaiz Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq. The deceased had to face jails and extreme hardships but he stood steadfast in his ideology and mission, the statement added.
As per the statement issued to KNS, AAC especially its chairman Mirwaiz Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, who is under arbitrary house detention since August 5, 2019, paid glorious tributes to Khwaja Nisar Ahmad for his selfless services and termed his demise as irreparable loss. The organisation also expressed condolence and solidarity with the deceased’s sons Imran Nisar Tanki and Mohsin Nisar Tanki and prayed for highest place in Jannah for the departed soul and forbearance to the bereaved family.
As per AAC sources, the congregational Fateha Khawani for the deceased will be held on October 9, Friday, 02:30 pm at their ancestral graveyard Gojwara near Taj Bakery, In Sha Allah.
Meanwhile, the AAC has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of the wife of Ghulam Muhammad Najar who is the organisation’s halqa president Soura; renowned doctor of Kashmir Dr Nazir Ahmad Wani; mother-in-law of veteran trader Merajuddin Bacha; renowned trader Abdul Samad Zargar of Hawal; and wife of renowned trade leader Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani of Kadi Kadal. The AAC expressed condolence and solidarity with all the bereaved families and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Jannat-ul-Firdous to all the departed souls.(KNS)
