‘Valley passing through most crucial times; need to rekindle hope to live in our youth’

Srinagar, Mar 21 (KNS): DPN President and former Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir said that valley is passing though a crucial situation as day in and day out death and destruction is taking place. Mir was addressing a huge public meeting at Wahigund Block Kaipora.
“There is need to put an end to this all, we have to come forward and to put an end to this situation,” Mir said. Mir further said, violence does not favour any side, time is ripe to save our youth from violence and give them a hope and way forward for a dignified future.
“Our youth has lost the will to live a dignified life instead they prefer death over life. There is need to rekindle the hope to live in our youth,” Mir said.
While targeting the government Mir said, that the present coalition government has failed to create an atmosphere for providing jobs to youth and instead favouritism, corruption and nepotism has further alienated the youth.
“Present coalition Government has failed to strengthen the democratic institutions on ground .This has created a gap between people and the government besides atmosphere of corruption everywhere,” Mir said.
On the developmental front Mir said, that the development work is no where visible. People are facing difficulties on account of power supply and road connectivity.
The public meeting was also addressed by Block President Wailoo Mohd Akbar, Sr leader Asadullah Bhat, Farooq Ahmad Dar and Tajamul Ishfaq who pledged to strengthen the DPN at grass root level. (KNS)
