Says “after killing humans at will, forces cook up covering stories”

Srinagar, Nov 24 (KNS): Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has condemned what he termed as brutal killing of yet another Kashmiri youth, Ishfaq Ahmad of Khanda Chatargam, saying that “Ishfaq was fired upon and killed with impunity by Indian trigger happy forces and another Kashmiri Lady Muskaan Jan of Wanigund Koimuh Kulgam who was fired upon by forces recently and after battling for her life in hospital succumbed to her injuries today.”
Terming ongoing killing spree by forces as ‘worst kind of savagery’, Malik in a statement issued to KNS said that “after killing humans at will, Indian Army, Police, SOG and other forces cook up covering stories and come up with lame excuses to justify their horrible acts.”
He said that “when a person equipped with arms and ammunition is given immunity and legal shield and ordered to kill anyone coming his way, he is bound to turn beastly and into a killing machine.”
“Colonial mindset is ruthlessly continuing its genocidal policy in Kashmir but it has failed to realize that its oppressive measures have failed to suppress Kashmiri resistance in past and are bound to fail in future too,” he said.
While expressing his solidarity with the bereaved families of Ishfaq Ahmad and Muskaan Jan, Malik prayed for their heavenly abode.
Meanwhile, JKLF has paid tributes to Kashmiris including Azad Ahmad Malik, Basit Mir, Firdous Ahmad, Shahid Bashir, Anees Shafi and Aatif Ahmad who were killed at Bijbihara Anantnag yesterday.
JKLF said that “the blood of these martyrs will go never in vain and that Kashmiris will keep resisting the illegal occupation of India till the achievement of the desired goal.”
A JKLF delegation led by vice chairman Advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt and comprising of district president Islamabad Muhammad Ishaaq Ganie, Showkat Ahmad Bhat and Nasser Ahmad visited the bereaved families of Azad Malik at Arwani, Atif Ahmad, and Anees Shafi and expressed solidarity with them.
JKLF leaders met with the bereaved families and offered condolences to them.
While praying for the heavenly abode of these martyrs, JKLF leaders prayed for the Sabr-i-Jamil to their bereaved families. (KNS)
