Former IGP crime, Raja Aijaz Ali joins PC, calls PC as ‘an Army led by Lion’

Srinagar, Dec 26 (KNS): Peoples Conference (PC) chairman Sajjad Gani Lone on Wednesday said that people have right to get the elected representatives in the shape of a government in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that he will write to Election Commission of India (ECI) after eight days regarding interference of police officers in elections.
As per Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent, addressing a press conference, Lone said that police has no role in elections but some officers including an IPS officer are there who indulging in electoral politics. “I will write to ECI after 7 or 8 days in this regard,” he added, saying that this cannot be done and the party won’t let them subvert.
Lone said that if these officers are interested in politics then they should go back to their homes and take part in elections. He said that once the party will come in power, there will be a change on ground, saying there will be a change of decentralization and liberalization.
Lone further told reporters that those who have eroded the autonomy of the State can’t be restorers of it.
Meanwhile, about the elections, Mayor SMC, Junaid Azim Matoo who was also accompanying Lone in the presser said that the NC Vice president Omar Abdullah and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti are still looking for any safer constituency as there is no safer constituency left for them. “NC will be routed out of power in the upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
It is worth to mention here that former IGP Crime and Ex-PDP leader Raja Aijaz Ali joined PC in presence of Sajjad Lone, Imran Raza Ansari and Junaid Azim Matoo.
Talking to reporters, Raja said that he joined PC as it has a historic background and he finds no other party to compete it at present.
Terming PC as an Army led by a Lion, Raja said, “PC has a clear image and clear leadership, which lacks in other parties.”
Imran Ansari while talking to reporters in the presser said that all those who want change in Jammu and Kashmir will become the part of PC soon as “many more leaders who are either former leaders of any party or new faces will join the party soon.” (KNS)
