Says document for its resolution prepared, more leaders will join NC soon

Srinagar Dec 20 (KNS): The National Conference (NC) has yet again pitched to pass the resolution of regional autonomy in state legislature in case the party comes to the power after the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pertinently, former BJP leader Gagan Bhagat who was expelled from the party joined NC in presence of the party president Dr, Farooq Abdullah, NC provincial president Davinder Singh Rana and others today in a function at Jammu.
Meanwhile, addressing a gathering after holding meeting Bhagat, Dr Farooq said that the party if voted to come to the power will bring the autonomy in the first 30 days of the rule.
“The resolution of regional autonomy will be our first priority and we will bring the resolution of autonomy in the state legislature in the first 30 days of the rule if the party comes to power in Jammu and Kashmir and if I am blessed with good health,” NC president said.
While talking to media persons, Dr Farooq also said the document for the resolution of autonomy in Jammu and Kashmir has been prepared.
Meanwhile, Bhagat who joined the NC was also welcomed by the party president Dr Farooq Abdullah.
Dr Farooq said, “National Conference (NC) will work for the development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and all the faiths living in the State, be it Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Sikhs.”
Abdullah reacting over Bhagat’s joining said more leaders will be joining the party soon.
On a lighter note, Dr Farooq reacted over the Cartoon in daily Urdu from Srinagar, said that he is carrying the bag, which was shown in today’s cartoon. (KNS)
