JKPM urges Govt to do justice with contractual teachers

Srinagar, May 16 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) leaders Chasfeeda Shah and Uzair Ronga have assured the contractual teachers engaged last year that their demand for continuation would be taken up with the concerned authorities for sympathetic consideration.

While giving this assurance to a group of aggrieved contractual teachers, who were protesting at Partap Park Srinagar this morning, JKPM leader Chasfeeda Shah said that her party has trodden on a mission to fight for the genuine rights of the people of the state.

“We are here to ensure that justice is done to deserving and needy,” Chafeeda Shah reaffirmed while addressing the gathering of contractual teachers at Partap Park Srinagar today.

She said that the government should ensure that justice is done to the contractual teachers who are highly qualified and meritorious.

While assuring support to the agitating contractual teachers, Uzair Ronga said that no stone would be left unturned to ensure that their genuine grievances are redressed earnestly.

The agitating contractual teachers were demanding for issuance of a government order for their full time continuation instead of continuation of their contractual services piecemeal. (KNS)
