IGP seeks cooperation of public for making Janta curfew successful


Srinagar, March 20 (KNS): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang Kondbarao Pole today warned of sending people to jail who hide their travel history.
“No one can hide travel history anymore. We confirm it from immigration bureau. In case anyone tries to hide the travel history in self-declaration form, we will get to know it. First we will send them to quarantine facility and let me inform all those we have powers even to send you to jail after completion of quarantine period,” he said during a Presser along with IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar here.
according to KNS, he added that District Magistrates have power to book anyone who doesnot cooperate with administration in dealing with natural disasters.
“I appeal all Kashmiri passengers to voluntarily apply for quarantine for their personal as well as betterment of their families,” he said.
 Accrding to KNS corrospondent, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar sought cooperation from public to make the Janta curfew successful.
“This is not for stopping protests. It is for benefit of people. This will help to chain the break if people will stay at home. In Italy people did not maintain social distance.”
He added everyone has role- masjid committees, media and Mohalla committees.
Regarding the restoration of 4 G services, he said, “If they get order from home department, they will accordingly pass on directions to service providers.”
Pole also said chemicals, testing facilities, and doctors are available in sufficient numbers in health centers of Kashmir.full body equipmnets, for doctors, Anantnag, Pulwama, Baramulla
He also asked the people to observe a ‘Janta Curfew’ on Sunday from 7 AM to 9 PM to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in India.
“Except for medical emergencies, People should not move out during day. During evening hours people should clap or whatever action for encouragement of people associated with its prevention and control,” he said.
Divisional Commissioner also assured the people of Kashmir that all the entry points are regulated well with checkup of all passengers. (KNS)
